The Ramsbottom Music Festival has been
held in March every year for over 25 years - it
is open to amateur musicians of all ages and
The Festival provides a relaxed atmosphere,
amongst friendly surroundings, for anyone with
an interest in playing their musical instrument
to a supportive audience.
We encourage players of all ages and
standards, on as wide a variety of instruments
as possible, to come along and entertain their
friends, families and other participants, as well
as gaining experience of playing in front of
skilled, professional adjudicators and maybe
even the chance of winning one of the many
category prizes that we have.
The 2020 Festival will take place on the 13th
March for schools and the 14th March for
instrumental & vocal entries.
Below we have a link to a copy of our Syllabus for the 2020
Festival - in there are all of the classes that we are offering.
All of the performances are attended by one of our
adjudicators, drawn from some of the best and most
committed musical afficionados in the country. Our
performers always find their comments and observations
encouraging and helpful - what better way to improve your
skills and demonstrate your competence than to come
along. Everyone has fun, every time.
And Ramsbottom is half an hour from the centre of
Manchester, just off the M66, so we're easy to get to - click
